Asia Pacific Journal of Management Call for Proposals for Special Issues Deadline: November 1, 2016 Scholars interested in guest-editing special issues for the Asia Pacific Journal of Management (APJM) are invited to submit proposals. Proposals need to (1) outline the gap that the special issues intend to fill, (2) the likely contributions the assembled papers will make to the literature, and (3) the estimated timeline. Each proposal should be no more than 2 pages (single spaced). APJM is the official journal of the Asia Academy of Management (AAOM). Following APJM's standard operating procedures, all submissions to special issues will be double-blind reviewed. APJM editors would like to encourage the team of SI guest editors to consider the possibility of holding SI conferences/workshops (1-2 days). All things being equal, preferences will be given to proposals with concrete financial plans and commitments for supporting SI conferences/workshops. Typically, the host schools will provide hotel accommodation for one author of every paper invited to revise and resubmit after the first round (typically 10-15 papers per SI), and cover all local conference expenses (food, drinks, and materials). Typical workflow: Open call for papers Initial screening by guest editors (some papers are desk rejected) First round of reviews First round of editorial decisions SI conference/workshop for authors of papers invited to revise and resubmit after the first round Second round of reviews Second round of editorial decisions Conditional acceptance Final acceptance Some previous APJM SI conferences/workshops took place in Australia (Brisbane and Sydney), Canada (Vancouver), Denmark (Copenhagen), China (Beijing, Shanghai, and Xi'an), Singapore, Taiwan (Taipei), and the United States (Boston). Being globally oriented, APJM is interested in expanding its global reach. As evidenced by previous SI conferences/workshops held in Copenhagen and Boston, scholars and host schools are not limited to being located in the Asia Pacific region (broadly defined).
