Dear Colleagues

We are pleased to announce the  John H. Dunning visiting fellows for the 
2016/17 academic year, hosted by the John H. Dunning Centre for 
International Business at the Henley Business School, University of 
Reading.

The two new fellows are:

Luis Alfonso Dau* is an Associate Professor of international business 
and strategy at the D’Amore-McKim School of Business, Northeastern 
University. His research focuses on the effects of globalization and 
institutional changes on the international strategy and performance of 
emerging market firms. Luis has been published in the leading academic 
journals in the field, including /Academy of Management Journal/, 
/Journal of International Business Studies/, /Global Strategy Journal/, 
/Journal of International Management/, /Management International 
Review/,//and /Journal of Business Venturing/.//He has also conducted 
field research in several emerging markets, including Brazil, Argentina, 
Chile, Peru, Colombia, and Mexico.

*Alessandra Perri *is an Assistant Professor of International Business 
at the Department ofManagement of Ca’ Foscari University (Venice). She 
earned her PhD at Luiss Guido CarliUniversity (Rome) and she worked as 
post-doctoral fellow at the Department of BusinessAdministration of 
Carlos III University (Madrid). Her research is focused on the impact 
ofFDI on host countries, innovation strategies in multinational firms 
and their subsidiaries, andemerging countries’ technological catch-up.

The visiting fellowship programme is aimed at creating opportunities for 
researchers at the early-to-mid stages of their career to visit and 
collaborate with academics at the Centre, and to utilise resources 
associated with the John H. Dunning Library.  Dunning Fellows are 
expected to be actively engaged in the field of international business 
(broadly defined), and with an inclination towards multi-disciplinary 
and theory-driven research, in the tradition of John Dunning.  Visiting 
fellows are expected to give at least one seminar, and to spend between 
2 and 4 weeks in residence over an academic year (between September and
