Assistant/Associate Professor of Strategic Management

The Management Department of the Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St.
John's University invites applications for a tenure-track position in the
area of Strategic Management at the rank of Assistant/Associate professor
for fall 2017. Secondary areas that include Entrepreneurship and/or
International Business are of interest, and expressed flexibility to teach
courses in the area of Organizational Behavior is desirable. 
 
Candidates will have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. from an
accredited institution by the time of employment. Preference will be given
to candidates with strong communications skills, demonstrated potential for
solid research productivity and effective teaching, and collaborative
team-building skills. Business experience is a plus. Salary is competitive
and commensurate with experience and qualifications. 
 
The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and
graduate classes in strategic management, and other areas reflecting their
expertise that may include entrepreneurship, international
business/cross-cultural management, and organizational behavior topics; to
publish in national and international journals; and, to be involved in
service activities. Responsibilities will include teaching in experiential
courses, a high-impact, pedagogical practice that is valued highly at our
institution.
