Please join us for a tour and discussion of organic and conventional fruit production under high tunnels. Raspberries are grown in organic production and cherry under conventional management.
High tunnels are relatively low cost greenhouse-like structures. Beginning in 2010, organic and conventional production of red raspberries, sweet cherries and blackberries have been studied under Haygrove
multiple bay high tunnels.
Key areas that will be covered:
Raspberry training systems
SWD management with exclusion netting and harvest frequency
Effects of "smart" plastics on pesticide degradation
Tunnel blackberry production systems and varieties
Sweet cherry varieties and training systems
