The Department of
International Business (School of Business) at the George Washington University
invites applications for a tenure track position in International
Business at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor beginning as early as
the academic year 2017-2018,
subject to final approval by the Board of Trustees.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking applicants to teach a range of
International Business (IB) courses in our undergraduate, MBA, and doctoral
programs, as well as conduct high-quality IB research in the areas of global strategy and management.
Basic Qualifications: Applicants must have
a doctorate in a field
relevant to International Business, such as economics, management, finance,
strategy, sociology, political science or a related field. ABDs will be considered, but must complete all requirements for the
doctorate by the date of appointment. Applicants must have a demonstrated
commitment and ability/potential to conduct high-quality scholarly research
publishable in top outlets on topics important to international business, as
evidenced by publications in scholarly journals or scholarly works-in-progress
or recommendations by respected scholars as research references.
Applicants must also demonstrate teaching excellence as indicated by teaching
letters of recommendation or teaching assessments.

the few freestanding IB departments in the US, with 15 full time
faculty members. US News & World Report recently published its list of 2016’s
Best Colleges and 2017’s Best Graduate Schools and ranked George Washington University's
undergraduate program in International Business
