> We are seeking a postdoctoral scholar to join a team of researchers and practitioners working together on design-based implementation projects. This person will contribute to and help lead a portfolio of research and development projects. The ISP develops authentic partnerships with other external educational organizations to improve and study K-12 education, especially in STEM, with an equity focus. We pursue this work using the framework of improvement science and design based implementation research as we seek to improve practice while simultaneously contributing to the knowledge in the field. A postdoctoral scholar in this role will have opportunities for publishing and leading research effort(s).

> The ideal candidate for this position would join the ISP team and bring a scholarly background in organizational theory, educational policy, and STEM education. He/she would be able to help conceptualize, direct, and conduct research and development projects that relate to the Institute’s mission. The projects initially associated with position focus on the implementing a distributed leadership model in a high poverty school district in order to transform the educational experience for elementary students in the district as well as design and implementation of K-8 NGSS-aligned STEM curriculum project.
