2016 Faculty Development in International Business
Globalization Workshops

Organized by the CIBER Network and hosted by Georgia State University CIBER

June 2-5, 2016, Atlanta, GA.

      Plan on participating if you have a passion for teaching and wish to update your skills and pedagogical toolbox

Held since 1992by a consortium of CIBERs (Centers of Excellence designated by the U.S. Department of Education), Faculty Development in International Business - Globalization Workshops have trained over 1,000 faculty from the U.S. and other countries. Attend to learn from, and interact with, world-class educators. They will brief you on: (i) latest content for teaching IB; (ii) innovative classroom practices; and (iii) resources for teaching IB.

New this year are three plenary sessions:
     *        Instructional Technology & Resources for Teaching Int'l Business

*        Insights from Master Teachers

*        Designing and Teaching the Introductory IB Course
And Poster presentations from educators who wish to share their classroom innovations and experiments. Top three selections are recognized with a monetary prize.

Thematic workshops and faculty leaders include:

Introduction to International Business (Michael Pustay & Attila Yaprak)
International Management (Ben Kedia & Leigh Anne Liu)
International Financial Management (Hakan Saraoglu)
Global Supply Chain Management (Tomas Hult & Ernest Nichols)
International Marketing (Erin Cavusgil & Gary Knight)

You also have the opportunity to attend four 'bonus' sessions:
Research in International Business (Tamer Cavusgil & Seyda Deligonul)
Teaching Pedagogy (Roberto Garcia, Fernando Doria & Mourad Dakhli)
Case Writing for International Business (Attila Yaprak)
Cross-national Perspectives on Teaching Int'l Business (Piet Pauwels et al)

For early arriving participants, cultural experiences include visits to The World of Coca-Cola and the world-renown Georgia Aquarium.
