Hazon <http://hazon.org/> has four openings for its 6‐month Detroit JOFEE (Jewish Outdoor, Food, and Environmental Education) Fellowship beginning in May 2016 and concluding in November 2016. This is an urban agriculture and Jewish education experience based in the city of Detroit at the Northend Christian CDC <http://northend-cdc.org/>'s Oakland Avenue Urban Farm.
Detroit JOFEE Fellows will gain experience in seasonal agricultural production and farmers' market preparation. They will also work in the metro Detroit Jewish community, gaining skills in the JOFEE field, as well as growing spiritually through living Jewish time. Fellows will practice intentional shared living, and come away with an expanded personal and professional network both in the city of Detroit and in the suburban Detroit Jewish community.
