Some of the false messages are probably done by someone who is trying
to perpetrate a scam and some are not. Probably, in most cases the
person has had their account hi-jacked by someone and that hi-jacker
person is sending these phony scam messages out to various places. In
that case, the person whose account is being used does not even know it.
But, it doesn't matter. No matter who actually sent the scam message,
it can be used to steal your account and possibly cost you a lot of
money and time clearing up an identity theft.
So, do not EVER respond to messages that want you to go to an address
and givce out information.
