Dear Colleagues, We are currently conducting a study into the psychometric properties of the 14-item expatriate adjustment scale published by Black and Stephens (1989). For this we are looking for additional datasets that have used this scale. These can originate from published or unpublished work as well as doctoral or master's dissertations. We are not looking for complete datasets including all study variables, just the data on the 14 items and those that are required to describe the sample. We would really appreciate your kindness of sharing these data with us. Everyone who provides data will be acknowledged in any possible subsequent publication. Specifically, we are looking for data from samples that fulfil the following criteria: - The sample consists of expatriates originating from many different home countries that are on assignment in a single host country or narrowly defined region, e.g. Northern Europe, North America or South-East Asia. - The sample contains different types of expatriates, e.g. company-assigned expatriates (CAE) and self-initiated expatriates (SIE) and the data set allows identifying who is a CAE and who is an SIE. - The study used all 14 items published by Black and Stephens (1989) rather than just a subset. If you do not have such a dataset yourself, but know that one of your (former) supervisees has, we would be very grateful if you could put us in touch.
