WORKSHOPS
An Offering of the National CIBER Network - Atlanta,
GA., June 2-5, 2016

Georgia State University’s Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) is pleased to announce the 2016 Faculty
Development in International Business - Globalization Workshops, to
be held June 2-5, 2016 at GSU’s Buckhead
Center, a state-of-the-art conference facility in Atlanta, Georgia.
Held since 1992 (in
Memphis) by a consortium of CIBERs
(Centers of Excellence designated by the U.S. Department of Education), Globalization
Workshops have trained over
1,000 faculty from around the U.S. and other countries. The workshops are designed to assist business faculty improve their practical knowledge and skills for teaching international business. Thematic
workshops and faculty leaders
include:

International Financial Management (Hakan Saraoglu)

Global Supply Chain Management (Tomas Hult &
Ernest Nichols)

International Marketing (Erin Cavusgil & Gary
Knight)
Each workshop introduces: (i) contemporary content, (ii) pedagogy, and (iii) resources for teaching the respective courses. Ample
time is also provided for open dialogue among educators who share teaching interests. This
year, we have also solicited Poster Presentations from educators who wish to share their classroom innovations and experiments with others:

In addition, this year we have added two plenary sessions on ‘Instructional Technology and Resources for Teaching International Business,’ and ‘Insights
from Master Teachers.’
For early arriving participants, cultural experiences include visits to The
World of Coca-Cola and the world-renown Georgia
Aquarium.
