The social construct of sustainability leadership has now been added to the hundred adjectives of leadership that describes individual intentions,
outcomes and behaviours.
“Leadership for sustainability requires leaders of extraordinary abilities. These are leaders who can read and predict through complexity, think through complex problems, engage groups
in dynamic adaptive organisational change and have the emotional intelligence to adaptively engage with their own emotions associated with complex problem solving" (Metcalf and Benn 2013).
The UWI, Open Campus, Belize in collaboration with the Cave Hill School of Business, Barbados will be convening a conference
on Leadership for Sustainability in November of 2016 to discuss and derive solutions for sustainable development of the Caribbean region. It is within this context that the UWI, Open Campus, Belize and the Cave Hill School of Business extend an invitation
to all interested persons as well as national, regional and international organizations to contribute their knowledge to this exercise.
Topics to be considered (whilst not exhaustive) include but are not limited to the following:
· Educating Leaders for Sustainability
· Sustainability Leadership Promoting Diversity
· Sustainability Leadership and Activism
· Sustainability Leadership and Cross Cultural Blended Learning
· Risk Reduction and Stability by Mastering Sustainability Change Management
· Change Management for Sustainability
· What Leading Companies are doing to embed Sustainability through Education
. Education of Leadership tiers (top-down approach) in Sustainability through Education
. Engaging in Meaningful Thought Partnership

Interested presenters are invited to submit an Abstract of no more than 250 words by the deadline of
May 6, 2016 which must include: Title of the Paper; Author’s Contact Information (mailing
address, email and telephone numbers) and Bio-data of no more than 250 words.
