The social construct of sustainability leadership has now been added to the hundred adjectives of leadership that describes individual intentions, outcomes and behaviours. "Leadership for sustainability requires leaders of extraordinary abilities. These are leaders who can read and predict through complexity, think through complex problems, engage groups in dynamic adaptive organisational change and have the emotional intelligence to adaptively engage with their own emotions associated with complex problem solving" (Metcalf and Benn 2013). The UWI, Open Campus, Belize in collaboration with the Cave Hill School of Business, Barbados will be convening a conference on Leadership for Sustainability in November of 2016 to discuss and derive solutions for sustainable development of the Caribbean region. It is within this context that the UWI, Open Campus, Belize and the Cave Hill School of Business extend an invitation to all interested persons as well as national, regional and international organizations to contribute their knowledge to this exercise.
