The current plan is to migrate all users off mail.msu.edu. We don’t have a timeline set yet for this, but you can expect more announcements on it in the very near future. Departments that are in dire need to
transition to O365 due to failing systems or hardware are being given priority to migrate, but the offer will be open to all departments shortly. Retirees and departments that don’t run their own email system will be given the opportunity to migrate near
the end of the project. The current mail.msu.edu system will be decommissioned, so all users will end up having to moving to something else – and for most of those users it will be to O365.

Hi,
Just wondering what the future holds for email accounts belonging to MSU retirees? Will they be migrated off the current system either toExchange or Office 365? If so, what is the timeline for that migration?
