We are pleased to
announce the establishment of the Alan Rugman Visiting
Fellowship Scheme.
The Rugman Fellow for 2015-16 is Chang Hoon Oh. Dr.
Oh is Professor of International Business and Beedie Research
Fellow at the Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser
University. Dr. Oh received his PhD degree from the Kelley
School of Business at Indiana University. His research centers
on internationalization strategy, country risk, business
continuity and sustainability, and globalization versus
regionalization.
This is an annual
award, given to a research scholar in international business
whose work closely aligns with the intellectual legacy of the
late Professor Alan Rugman. It is funded by the
Alan Rugman Memorial Fund, established by Helen Rugman in memory
of her late husband.
The Rugman Fellowship runs alongside our existing Dunning
Visiting Fellow programme. An honorarium is
associated with the Rugman Fellowship. This is intended to
subsidize the scholar’s expenses associated with travel and
board, and will be awarded annually. Details on how to apply
for this fellowship for the academic year 2016-17 will be
announced in March.
