Assistant/Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship
Are you a passionate, creative, innovative, collaborative entrepreneur
with a doctorate?  Millikin University values excellence in teaching and
seeks such a tenure-track faculty member to begin August 1, 2016.  
Our hallmark is performance learning – creating opportunities for
students to engage third-party stakeholders early and often.  This
Assistant/Associate Professor must be dedicated to providing performance
learning opportunities for students.  In collaboration with our
nationally recognized Center for Entrepreneurship and disciplines
embracing entrepreneurship across campus, Tabor offers an
entrepreneurship major, minor in entrepreneurship for non-business
majors, undergraduate certificate in entrepreneurship, undergraduate
certificate in arts entrepreneurship, and a graduate certificate in
entrepreneurship.
Job ResponsibilitiesTeach in the undergraduate entrepreneurship program
including Blue Connection, a student-run retail art venture.
Teach in the MBA program as needed.
Collaborate with the Center for Entrepreneurship, across disciplines,
and the larger community (locally, regionally, and nationally) in
providing leadership and support in curriculum development, including
numerous multi-disciplinary, nationally recognized arts entrepreneurship
student-run ventures.
Conduct relevant scholarship in the field of entrepreneurship.
Advise and mentor students, both academically and professionally.
Engage in university, community, and professional service.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a flexible, dynamic educator with innovate ideas who
is comfortable with ambiguity and capable of engaging students through
entrepreneurial endeavors and student-run venture laboratories.  The
candidate will need to build relationships with students and faculty
from many disciplines and with the broader community of business
practitioners.

QualificationsDoctoral degree in entrepreneurship required or
non-entrepreneurship doctoral degree with ample graduate coursework in
entrepreneurship.  Doctorate must be awarded before August 2016.
Demonstrated excellence in teaching entrepreneurship.
Demonstrated scholarship in the field of entrepreneurship.
Entrepreneurial experience or substantial experience in leading and
launching a venture within an organization is a must.
Evidence of ability to develop external business relationships locally
and globally.
Evidence of the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with
faculty, staff, and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and
socioeconomic backgrounds.
