That may have been how I ultimately did it on the machines I ran into
problems on.  It's been a while, so I can't really remember, but it does
ring something of a bell.

But I do think it's a high dpi screen issue, not win 10 itself.  I'm pretty
sure I've installed spss on a normal res screen in 10 and not run into that
problem.

High dpi in general on windows is still something of an adventure.  There's
a lot of stuff out there that doesn't get along with it.
