Brown-Bag Seminar Dan Brainard Associate Professor Department of Horticulture Weeds and Other Natural Disasters: Notes from a Sabbatical in Nepal Wednesday, October 7, 12:30-1:30pm 279 Plant and Soil Science Building Dan Brainard will discuss his experiences before and after the devastating earthquake that struck Nepal during the final weeks of his sabbatical leave. His primary activities included: i) collaborative research on weed ecology and management in reduced tillage rice-wheat cropping systems of Nepal and India as part of the Cereal Systems Initiative for South Asia (USAID, Gates Foundation funded initiative) and ii) documentation of indigenous vegetable production systems.
