Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce a Special Issue on “Political Connections in Global Competition” for Global Strategy Journal (ranked 19th out of 250 journals in Business and Management with
a 2-year impact factor of 3.694). The objectives of this Special Issue are to further explore the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of the interaction between political and business actors in the global context, and to promote cross-disciplinary synergies in theory development
and research method advancement regarding political connections. We welcome submissions of conceptual/theoretical papers, qualitatively oriented empirical papers, quantitatively oriented empirical papers, as well as papers employing mixed methods.

Manuscripts that are accepted or invited to be revised and resubmitted for the SI after the first round of reviews will be invited to take part in
