EIBA 2015 RIO – INVITATION & CALL FOR REGISTRATION We invite IB scholars, practitioners, and PhD students, to join us at the
41st EIBA Annual Conference!
EIBA 2015 will take place at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) in Brazil, on the dates
December 1-3, 2015 (with post-conference workshops to be held on December 4-5, 2015). The
theme of the EIBA 2015 conference is:
International Business after the BRIC’s Rush. The decisions for the EIBA 2015 submissions were released at the end of June – and the Rio organisers are currently
working together with the track chairs to prepare an academic program that is sure to please all participants. Note that the
deadlines & dates are earlier this year to allow participants the convenience and benefits of greater flexibility and lower costs when making their travel arrangements. (For an overview

webpage.) Online registration for EIBA 2015 Rio and its surrounding conference activities is open! Note that for
an accepted paper/poster to be included in the conference program, at least one of its authors must have registered for the conference by September 15, 2015 (the early-bird deadline). EIBA 2015 Rio received a record number of submissions (by more than 1,000
authors from over 60 countries) – so a record number of conference delegates is expected. You are encouraged to
register early to benefit from the lower fees! The following fees apply to the EIBA 2015 Rio Conference: ·
Early bird REGULAR fee (until September 15):
€ 475 EUR ·
Early bird STUDENT fee (until September 15):
€ 240 EUR ·
REGULAR fee (after September 15): €
525 EUR ·
STUDENT fee (after September 15): €
290 EUR ·
Accompanying Person (Gala Dinner only):
€ 90 EUR

Research Methods Workshop:
€ 400 EUR (REGULAR fee) /
€ 250 EUR (STUDENT fee)
EIBA 2015 RIO – CONFERENCE FEES & REGISTRATION The EIBA 2015 Rio
conference fee includes: conference participation; welcome reception; lunches & coffee breaks; gala dinner & awards ceremony; conference handbook & proceedings (including both the competitive
and interactive papers as well as the extended abstracts of posters); EIBA membership for 2016 (including a one-year personal print subscription to the
International Business Review). There are
reduced fees for PhD students (with valid proof of status), as well as a
special fee for those persons accompanying registered delegates who wish to attend the gala dinner (only), but who will not be participating in the EIBA 2015 Rio academic program. Please note that
after the early-bird registration deadline date (September 15, 2015), the conference fees will be subject to a
surcharge of € 50 EUR
(for PhD Students as well as Regular delegates). More information is available on the

to visit Brazil. (As this procedure could take several days, weeks, or even months, if a visa is required, best to make your application early and arrange your travel accordingly.) Information about travel in

advised to book your hotels & flights well in advance in order to benefit from potentially lower rates. EIBA 2015 RIO – VENUE, SOCIAL EVENTS & NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES The conference venue
PUC-Rio is located in the
middle of a rain forest, yet just a few minutes away from the famous beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema, and Leblon. The organizers have kindly posted
LOGISTICS info and instructions on the
EIBA 2015 Rio website to assist delegates and facilitate commuting from the airport to hotels as well as to/from the conference venue. (See also related menu items under

TRAVEL & HOTELS.) The EIBA Annual Conference is famous for its enjoyable
gala dinner – with good food and drink being served throughout the EIBA
award presentations, followed by music and dancing to cap off and celebrate the event amongst colleagues and friends. In Rio de Janeiro, we will gladly continue the EIBA tradition and
hope to even surpass your expectations! The EIBA Annual Conference provides a professional yet warm and friendly family atmosphere where prominent IB scholars,
PhD students, faculty, scholars and practitioners of all ages, are able to interact freely, exchange ideas, and learn from one another.
