Beekeeping for Pollination and Honey Production

The Michigan Farmers Market Association (MIFMA) and member Dan Keane of Keane’s Wee Bee Farms is hosting an on-farm field day as part of its farm-based education programming, Beekeeping for Pollination and Honey Production! 
This event is designed to provide beekeepers, farmers market vendors and food system educators with an opportunity to learn more about beekeeping and to network with their peers.

Time: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. 
Location: Leaman’s Green Applebarn -  Freeland, Michigan

Topics:
- Beekeeping best practices and pollination.
- Apiary equipment for keeping bees and processing honey.
- Michigan Department of Agriculture Rural Development (MDARD) rules and regulations for honey sales.
