Please consider submitting an abstract to a special session at the 2015 GSA meeting in Baltimore: “T87: Supporting Geoscience Student Transfer: Collaborations, Partnerships, and Practices for Success.” This would be a great way
to highlight your research or expertise in student transfer – from high school to a 2YC, 2YC to 4YC or from a bachelors program to a career or graduate program. We seek contributions that contribute to the knowledge of barriers and strategies for success
in helping students be successful as they move from one institution to another throughout their development as geoscientists. Some possible topics could be
·
advising and support strategies
·
research on transfer patterns
·
research on student learning outcomes across institutions
·
articulation agreements
·
curricular alignment
·
ongoing HS-2YC, 2YC–4YC, or 4YC-graduate program faculty interactions
·
cross-institutional student research projects and field trips
·
summer bridge programs
·
recruitment programs
·
research on transfer patterns
