Announcement of Three Faculty Positions
Department of Management, Mays Business School, Texas A&M University

Position and Qualifications: The Department of Management in the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University is seeking to add three new colleagues to its group beginning in the fall of 2016.

Two of the positions are at the open rank with a preference for candidates at the assistant and associate levels. One of these positions will be filled by a person with an Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management focus while the second will be filled by a person with interest in Strategy and a secondary interest in International Management and/or Entrepreneurship.

The third position is to be filled by a senior Strategy scholar who is qualified for an appointment to an endowed chair. International Management and/or Entrepreneurship could be a secondary interest(s).

Applicants for these positions should possess an earned doctorate in management or a related discipline and a strong record of scholarly contributions in the desired specializations. Additionally, applicants should be able to demonstrate an interest in and ability to conduct research with a high probability of being published in top-quality, "A" level journals. Applicants at the Associate or Full level should possess a publication record commensurate with that level. Applicants for the senior-level Strategy position should be nationally and internationally recognized for their contributions to the field and should be committed to continuing to publish in top-level journals. We are also interested in individuals who are committed to excellence in teaching and to the importance of collegiality. Teaching opportunities exist at the graduate (PhD and masters), executive, and undergraduate levels. Being committed to working actively with PhD students is also expected of the individuals chosen to fill all three positions.

The Mays Business School offers an excellent research environment and modern facilities. The Department of Management has long been recognized as a leading management research faculty. We have a vibrant and outstanding group at all ranks. Current faculty members include Murray Barrick, Len Bierman, Steve Boivie, Wendy Boswell, Dan Chiaburu, Steve Courtright, Cindy Devers, Lorraine Eden, Markus Fitza, Ricky Griffin, Mike Howard, Duane Ireland, Ramona Paetzold, Mike Pustay, Deidra Schleicher, Laszlo Tihanyi, Michael Wesson, Mike Withers, Dick Woodman, Asghar Zardkoohi, and Cindy Zapata.

The Bryan/College Station metro area has a population of 230,000, a low cost of living (including no state income taxes), excellent schools, a very low crime rate, and excellent health care. The College Station airport is served by United and American Airlines. College Station is a 1.5 hour drive to Houston, 2 hours to Austin, and 3 hours to Dallas-Fort Worth.
