Assistant Professor Position in Strategic Entrepreneurship (tenure track)

The University of Bern, Switzerland invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Strategic Entrepreneurship position.
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in management, entrepreneurship or a related field is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate their capabilities to publish in high-ranked scholarly journals in the fields of strategy and/or entrepreneurship.
Candidates must be qualified to teach courses in entrepreneurship or small business management as well as general, strategic management courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Ability to teach in the areas of entrepreneurship capabilities or
new venture strategies is a plus. A strong research interest, skills in qualitative and quantitative research methods, and a high standard of English language skills are prerequisites. In addition to pursuing an active academic research program the successful
candidate will provide teaching and administrative support to the department. We especially encourage applications from individuals who can bring diverse cultural and ethnic perspectives and experiences to the campus and who can advise and mentor all members
of our diverse student body.
Background: The University of Bern comprises eight Schools, with an enrollment of approximately 3’000 students at the School
of Business, Economics, and Social Sciences. We offer undergraduate degrees in a business major, and a general business graduate program. A specialized master of entrepreneurship is to be implemented. The normal teaching load is four hours (two courses) per
semester. Faculty members also participate in curriculum development and assessment, and engage in other service duties for the School and the University. An active research program yielding ongoing publication in peer-reviewed journals is required for tenure.
