IT Services has completed agreements for MSU departments to use select Microsoft software, Zoom conferencing tools, and CampusAD and Exchange services. Please pass this information on so others may benefit from these centrally-provided services.

Microsoft Software
MSU is providing Microsoft licenses for departmental use under an Enrollment for Education Solution (EES). Software under this agreement includes, but is not limited to, current versions of Office Pro Plus, Office for Mac, and Windows Operating Systems. Details including the full list of products covered under our agreement with downloading instructions are posted athttp://tech.msu.edu/licenses/microsoft.php. A schedule for student use and personal use for faculty and staff of Microsoft Office products will be determined in the future.

Zoom Cloud Web Conferencing
Zoom Pro accounts are available for all MSU faculty, staff, and students. Current Zoom users were upgraded to the Pro level on May 13. All new Zoom users will receive Pro accounts automatically by signing in to Zoom at http://msu.zoom.us. The Zoom Pro account allows hosting of meetings for an unlimited duration with up to 25 simultaneous participants. Other more advanced features, such as large meeting rooms and webinars, are available with the purchase of a separate license from the MSU Computer Store (http://cstore.msu.edu).

CampusAD and Exchange Services
IT Services offers a Microsoft Windows 2008 Active Directory infrastructure for units on campus. Active Directory is an authentication directory that supports enterprise systems (e.g., file and print servers), provides contact information and scheduling integration, and offers mechanisms for centralized desktop management. Visit https://tech.msu.edu/campusad/ for more information.
Campus Exchange services provide central management of the email and calendaring features in an Exchange environment so units don't need to support one locally. Using Campus Exchange means your mailbox is part of CampusAD. Visit https://tech.msu.edu/campus-exchange/ for more information. CampusAD and Exchange are now centrally provided. Beginning May 2015, departments are no longer billed for these services.
Questions not addressed with the information we have posted, may be directed to the MSU IT Service Desk at (517) 432-6200.

Thank you.
