Colleagues,
USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture will host a webinar for potential applicants to the National Training, Education, Extension, Outreach, and Technical Assistance Competitive Grants to Enhance Food Safety Program. The
Request for Applications (RFA) for this program was released on May 18, 2015, and applications are due on June 29, 2015. The webinar will provide potential applicants an opportunity to learn about:
- Overall general information about the program, the contents of the RFA, and the application process
- The competitive review process for the program, including information about how individuals were selected to serve on the panel
- The matching requirement, as directed by the new Farm Bill, and potential opportunities for requesting a matching waiver
An interactive Q&A session during the webinar will allow potential applicants to learn more about the collaborative effort between NIFA and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to jointly establish this program, which will support
awards for training, education, and outreach to those affected by the Food Safety Modernization Act.
