A postdoctoral scholar position as part of the University of Missouriís Quality Elementary Science Teaching (QuEST) program, funded by the NSF DRK12, is available beginning July 1, 2015. The successful candidate will participate in the design, delivery, and research of a practicum-based professional development model for K6 teachers in science. The appointee will work with a cross-disciplinary team of scholars from science education, physics, and special education to study the impacts of this model on teacher and student learning.
The team is looking for a colleague with experience in elementary teacher education, science education, and/or special education. The ideal candidate will have expertise in quantitative methods of data analysis. Applicants must have a doctorate in science education, the learning sciences, or a related field by time of appointment. For more information about QuEST, see http://sciencequest.missouri.edu
