Position Announcement – Strategy (Open Rank)

The Kogod School of Business at American University invites applications and nominations for a tenure-track appointment in Management with specialization in strategy to begin in Fall 2016. The tenure-track faculty position will be open rank, but Advanced Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor is preferred. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in appropriate management field with primary focus on strategy and possible secondary interests in entrepreneurship, sustainability, consulting, or global corporate citizenship.  Candidates should be effective teachers and must be strongly committed to excellence in scholarly research. Depending on qualifications, the appointee to the tenure track position may be recommended for tenure at the time of hiring.  

We welcome applications from candidates engaged in high-quality scholarship. Teaching specialization in strategy is required with secondary teaching interests in other management areas. In addition to scholarship and teaching, responsibilities will include participation in department, school and university activities.  Candidates applying to the Associate and Full Professor ranks should have a track record of high quality scholarship, outstanding teaching, and demonstrated leadership in academic and professional communities.
