APOLOGIES FOR ANY CROSS-POSTINGS! Two Tenure-Track Positions in Strategic Management at the Fox School of Business The Strategic Management Department in the Fox School of Business at Temple University, Philadelphia, invites applications for two faculty positions in Strategy. These will be full-time, tenure-track appointments, beginning in fall 2016. For one position, we are specifically looking to hire a fresh PhD. For the other one, rank is open. Candidates should hold a PhD in Strategy or a related discipline, and must demonstrate the potential to produce scholarly work of the highest quality. For experienced candidates, a record of effective teaching courses in Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the MBA and PhD levels will be advantageous. The department is home to research at the intersections of strategy, innovation, entrepreneurship and global business. Our faculty have backgrounds in economics, sociology, organizational theory, marketing, international business, and public policy. We believe that such diversity is key to a vibrant intellectual environment, and that meaningful strategy research emanates from an interdisciplinary approach. Through these two advertised positions, we hope to further strengthen our existing strategy expertise, preferably in the domains of technological innovation and entrepreneurship. Accordingly, candidates working in these areas would be particularly attractive to us. In recent years, our faculty have published in the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, Management Science, Organization Science, Journal of International Business Studies, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Global Strategy Journal, Research Policy, and Journal of Business Venturing, among others. The Fox School has made major strides in recent years, and offers a very supportive environment for research. Our recently revamped PhD program offers great possibilities to work with talented and motivated students. Our salary and research support are highly competitive with major research universities, and the teaching load for deserving candidates will be nine credits in an academic year.
