REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVENESS:  DEFINING NATIONAL AND GOVERNMENTAL DRIVERS OF PRODUCTIVITY, EFFICIENCY, GROWTH AND PROFITABILITY

The 24th  Annual World Business Congress of the International Management Development Association (IMDA) will be held in Famagusta, North Cyprus, from May 27-31, 2015.  This unique opportunity is organized and hosted jointly by IMDA and Eastern Mediterranean  University in partnership with  a number of agencies in North Cyprus. Scholarly papers, panel/special session proposals, and case study exercises for presentation and possible publication in the  award winning refereed Congress proceedings are invited. Theoretical, conceptual, and empirical papers (using qualitative/historical and quantitative methodologies) are solicited. Those on the conference theme are most desirable, although all aspects of business are of interest.

Manuscripts submitted must be complete papers, ready for blind review, to be considered for inclusion in the Congress proceedings. A work-in-progress may be reviewed and considered for presentation, even though not published in the Congress proceedings. In addition to scholarship, the Congress is designed to offer an excellent opportunity to meet colleagues from around the world and exchange information and ideas on a variety of global business  topics. There will also be excellent opportunities to socialize.

IMDA award winning congress proceedings with ISSN number is cited by Web of Science Social Sciences Citation Index. Only a small number of proceedings world around have this distinction and privilage.

Famagusta is a city on the east  coast of Cyprus. It is the capital of the Gazimamagusa District of  North Cyprus. It is located east of Nicosia and possesses the deepest harbor of the island.  During the medieval period especially under the maritime republics of Genoa and Venice, Famagusta was the island's most important port city, and a gateway to trade with the ports of the Levant, from where the Silk Road merchants carried their goods to Western Europe. Attendees will have the chance to partake in a planned regional and Famagusta tours included in the registration fee. Furthermore, there are interesting post congress tours to interesting sites such as Kyrinia (Girne) and Karpat Mountains. This is a great organization and a great venue to develop new contacts and friendships.
