Post doctoral scholars at the Studio will become part of a vibrant research and design community that bridges departments in the College of Education, including Learning, Design and Technology and Educational Psychology, as well as across campus with the College of Information Sciences and Technology, the Penn State Libraries, and Educational Technology Services. Applicants must have a doctorate in education or a related field completed by time of appointment or September 1, 2015. Prospective scholars should have an emerging research agenda/interest in one or more of the following areas: learning sciences, learning spaces/environments, or design-based research. Preference will be given to candidates with a track record of innovation, collaboration and scholarship. > > The successful candidate should be prepared to: > > Design and/or co-investigate questions leading to data collection, analyses, and peer reviewed publication using existing Studio data and tools or designing new lines of research. > > Work collaboratively with the Director of the Krause Innovation Studio on Studio programming and research. > > Provide leadership for the Krause Innovation Studio research team, including mentoring and management of undergraduate and graduate students. > Participate in the emerging educational technology entrepreneurial community at Penn State. > > The position is initially for one year the possibility of renewal for up to three years and includes salary plus health insurance coverage.
