Based on a true story, Kano depicts a high school baseball team from rural Taiwan traveling to Japan in 1931 to compete in a tournament. Directed by Umin Boya and co-produced by Wei Te-Sheng, this popular film won the Audience Choice Awards at the Osaka Asian Film Festival, the Taipei Film Festival, and the Golden Horse Film Festival in 2014.
