Dear AIB Members,
On
behalf
of the International Council for Small Business (ICSB) and the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU),
I am
pleased to
extend
this official invitation
to you
to attend ICSB 2015 during the period of June 6-9, 2015, in Dubai, UAE.
Because entrepreneurial activity is a vital component of the UAE economy and the region, the UAEU is hosting the 60th
Annual ICSB World Conference (ICSB 2015) under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.
Each year, ICSB holds a world conference in a different country. The UAEU was invited to host ICSB 2015 based on the reputation of the UAE in
fostering entrepreneurship and small business development and on the credentials of the University as the premier national university.
The theme of the ICSB 2015 Conference is
Entrepreneurship at a Global Crossroads, which will address the global nature of entrepreneurship in influencing our economies and societies. Academics, entrepreneurs, government officials, researchers, students, support organizations, and others will
be in attendance.
While the conference will have the usual mix of keynote speakers, parallel sessions and networking opportunities, ICSB 2015
will also include dedicated sessions for academics, policy makers, and entrepreneurs, plus a marketplace where attendees can do business. The conference will use innovative formats and new technologies to maximize the ability of every delegate to benefit from
attendance.
ICSB 2015 will take place in Dubai as follows:

Yes, if Dubai is on your “bucket list,” here is your chance to visit! Dubai has emerged as a global city and business hub of the
Persian Gulf region. Its Western-styled model of business drives the economy with main revenues now coming from tourism, aviation, real estate, and financial services instead of oil. The city is symbolic for its skyscrapers and high-rise buildings, in particular
the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa.
The International Council for Small Business (ICSB) is devoted to the advancement of management development practices for potential
entrepreneurs and existing small business owner/managers through education, research, and the free exchange of ideas. ICSB is a non-profit organization, which currently has 14 country-based or regional affiliates with members from over 70 countries. Membership
consists of professionals from four primary groups: educators, business practitioners, government policy makers, and researchers and consultants. For more information, go to
http://www.icsb.org.
I look forward to welcoming you to ICSB 2015 in Dubai in June. If you have questions or need additional information, please contact me at
