> This internship will involve a variety of tasks related to coordination and communication related to the MSU Center for Regional Food System (CRFS) Food Justice and Sovereignty workgroup, which is a forum for sharing, learning about, and conducting food justice research, education, and outreach. The diverse interests of workgroup members create the opportunity for interdisciplinary and trans-disciplinary impact with a central of food justice within the race, class, and gender context. There is capacity to leverage funding for state and national projects on systemic food system injustices such as food insecurity, farmland rights in both urban and rural contexts, and migrant farm worker labor conditions. The internship will be based at the Michigan State University Center for Regional Food Systems and overseen by coordinators of the workgroup. Tasks could include grant proposal development, website maintenance and development, social media promotion, data entry, management and analysis, conference preparation, research, writing and outreach. Skills required include strong writing and communication skills as well as an ability to work independently and in a team. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Publisher, Excel, Facebook, Twitter and webpage maintenance software is desired.

> This internship has a flexible schedule of approximately 12-20 hours per week from February 1, 2015 through May 31st, 2015. The hourly compensation is $10 per hour.
