Arts and Eats is this
weekend!
Arts and Eats
Saturday and Sunday
October 18 & 19, 2014
with a special kickoff on Friday, October 17th at select eateries
A back roads art, food, and farm tour
in rural Allegan, Barry, Kalamazoo, and Van Buren Counties
There’s no better way to lift spirits on a chilly autumn weekend day than taking a drive (or bike ride) through Michigan’s countryside
to visit over 50 unique sites featuring local artists in their studios, small specialty crop farms that grow food, fiber, and heritage animals, and eateries serving mouthwatering dishes made with locally produced veggies and meats.
Follow the tour via the mobile-ready website (www.ArtsAndEats.org) or
via the hard copy Map and Guide found at participating sites and other locations throughout Michigan. Maps and Guides are available at every stop on
the tour as well as at key locations.
A downloadable/printable copy of the Map and Guide is available on the websitewww.ArtsAndEats.org
Be sure to pick up a Passport as you take the tour.
Get stamps for each tour site visited for a chance to win in a drawing for tickets to cultural events (e.g., entertainment, restaurant dinners, brunches, etc.) and art items.
This year there is a Bike Route as well as a wine and cheese bus tour of select stops sponsored by Thornapple Arts Council.
For information on overnight accommodations, check
out our advertisers on the Map and Guide.
Please pass all this information on to your friends, kin, business associates, and those who you know who love to taste good local
food, enjoy high quality art, and take in the sensory feel of a farm.
See you on the rural road the third weekend in October!
