Students,

The Department of Animal Science invites you to join them on a Study Abroad program to Vietnam, “Emerging Issues and Sustainability in International Agriculture”. The trip occurs over the week of Spring Break, 2015.

The trip will guide you through several regions of the country, where you will get the chance to see agriculture in may different stages of development, experience cultural events, and enjoy the beauty of the land. There will be regular class meetings during the spring term to help you prepare for the trip and process the experience.

You will also find attached a scholarship form for the Jack and Betty Barnes International Michigan Dairy Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is open to non-dairy and non-Animal Science students, but due to the timing of the trip, the scholarship deadline has been moved up to Nov. 1, 2014! It’s not much time to get your application ready, but it’s also not a particularly time-consuming application. Do consider applying if it can make the Study Abroad experience happen for you.

If you have additional questions regarding the program or scholarship, please contact Dr. Liz Karcher at [log in to unmask]. See the attached info below.
