David & community, It's good to note that Java is only required for Non-Credit Registration Course administrators, this is between 10 - 100 individuals depending on the active courses at any given time. The students of these courses, 1000+, don't have these same Java requirements. Multiple versions of Java can run on a system, so users wouldn't be disallowed from updating their Java. https://www.java.com/en/download/help/run_old_java.xml NCRS will actually work with versions of Java up to 1.7 build 25, but security changes in Java versions after that cause problems with the system. I've contacted the support group and asked that they update the login page to reflect the latest version that works with NCRS.
