Call for Applications: Research Assistant (1 year)

The Department of Economics and Management (DEM) at the University of Pisa (Italy) (http://www.unipi.it/) is opening a position for a Research Assistant from January 2015, tenable for one year.

The successful applicant will collaborate in the project ‘Corporate Social Responsibility and Cause Related Marketing in Emerging Market Multinationals Investing in Europe”, coordinated by Prof. Daniele Dalli (DEM), Prof. Elisa Giuliani (DEM) and Prof. Davide Fiaschi (DEM). 

The successful applicant will be required to contribute to the above mentioned project under the supervision of senior researchers. She/he will be required to contribute to the following activities:

(a) Creation and cleaning of large-scale firm-level datasets;

(b) Qualitative and/or quantitative analyses of data;

(c) Participation in seminars and workshops organized by the host department.

Requirements for Applicants

Applicants are requested to:

(a)       hold a post-graduate degree (MA, MSc, “laurea specialistica”, “magistrale”, or similar) or a PhD in Management or related fields (International Business, Economics, etc.)

(b)       demonstrate skills in quantitative empirical analysis (statistics & econometrics; command of SPSS and/or STATA and/or R package), and/or qualitative empirical analysis (content analysis, command of Atlas.ti and/or NVivo)

(c)       be fluent in English (written and spoken).

A background in Corporate Social Responsibility studies and International Business is an advantage but not a requirement 

Candidates should also be highly motivated, team minded and able to work independently.

Scholarship

The gross salary is € 22.207,64 per annum.

The successful applicant will have access to the library and all the facilities of the University of Pisa.
