Loyola’s Sellinger School of Business and Management provides academically challenging management education inspired by Jesuit traditions and values. The school maintains three campuses in the greater Baltimore metropolitan area and is the only private institution in the state of Maryland that earned accreditation by AACSB in all programs. 

Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship (Tenure Track) 

Position duties

We seek candidates with a special interest in teaching entrepreneurship, international business and other management-related duties. These courses are taught at the undergraduate, graduate and Executive MBA programs in the Sellinger School. Courses are taught at three campuses/locations during the day, evenings and weekends. Some prior teaching experience is required. The ordinary teaching load is 3/3 with a reduced load in the first two years. Research expectations are realistic and high quality research is strongly encouraged and supported. Service to the department, school and university is expected.


Required qualifications
Candidates must possess a doctorate (or be ABD) in entrepreneurship or a related field from an AACSB accredited institution. This position will have primary teaching responsibilities in the area of entrepreneurship with a secondary interest in international business.



Busch Chair in Strategic Management (Associate Professor, Tenure Track)

Position duties

We are seeking a distinguished professor who is capable of interacting with the business and management community and who can administer and conduct theoretical and applied research in management. The candidate is required to teach an advanced seminar in his or her area of expertise, organize a conference as a forum for the business and academic community and continue an excellent research and publication stream in scholarly journals. 


The candidate must be able to teach courses in the undergraduate, graduate and Executive MBA programs offered by Loyola University Maryland. The teaching load is 2 courses per semester, with 2-3 preps, with research and service to the department, school, and university. Candidates must maintain a strong research agenda with demonstrated publication in peer-reviewed and high profile journals.


Required qualifications
Have an earned doctorate from an AACSB accredited institution (or equivalent).

Demonstrate a strong, active record as a teacher, with accomplishments commensurate with the rank of associate or full professor. Show flexibility as a teacher, e.g., the ability and willingness to teach a wide range of courses in undergraduate and graduate programs.

Distinguished record of scholarship as demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications in highly selective journals within the discipline. The candidate should have the ability to provide research leadership within the department.
