Position Announcement

The Department of Management at the Chinese University of Hong Kong
invites applications for two tenure-track positions at the Assistant
Professor or Associate Professor levels. We welcome applications from
candidates engaged in high-quality scholarship in areas of international
management, organizational behaviour/human resources management, and
strategic management.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in International Business, Management or
a closely related discipline. Candidates should be strongly committed to
excellence in scholarly research, teaching and service. Appointment at
associate professor level requires an academically qualified scholar of
national and international stature. Responsibilities include publishing
high-quality scholarly research, teaching management courses at
undergraduate and graduate levels (e.g. MBA, EMBA), and participation in
academic and professional activities. The appointee is also encouraged
to apply for external funding to support research endeavors. Salary will
be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The University offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package including
housing allowance and medical insurance, and a 15% contract-end gratuity
for an appointment of two years or longer.

 

The Department's major research strengths center on the areas of
cross-cultural and comparative management with a special focus on the
Asia-Pacific region, in particular China and Hong Kong. It comprises a
team of academics with diverse ethnicity and extensive international
experience who engage in a wide range of management research in
entrepreneurship, human resources management, international management,
organizational behaviour, and strategic management. We have a proven

founding member of the Asia Academy of Management, an academic
organization that fosters management education and research in the
region. The Center for International Business Studies (CIBS) was
