Dear colleagues,

Many thanks for the large number of messages received from friends, colleagues and well-wishers, all of whom share our sense of bereavement and loss at the untimely passing of Alan Rugman.  I have shared these messages with Helen Rugman, who has asked me to express her appreciation for your kind words at this difficult time.  

Alan Rugman’s funeral will take place at 13:45 on Friday 18 July in the Large Chapel at Reading Crematorium, All Hallows Rd, Henley Rd, Caversham, Reading, Berkshire, RG4 5LP (http://www.yell.com/biz/henley-road-cemetery-and-reading-crematorium-reading-811302/).  ALL are very welcome to attend.

The Henley Business School will also be holding a memorial reception, to which everyone is also welcome, at 15:00 on Tuesday 22 July in the Garden Common Room at Henley Business School, Greenlands, Henley-on-Thames, RG9 3AU.

We hope that many of you - despite the short notice - are able to attend either or both events.

Helen Rugman has told us that Alan was allergic to flowers! In lieu of flowers, donations in Alan's memory can be made to The Purley Park Trust, which provides  unique, high quality services for people with learning disabilities (www.purleyparktrust.org).  You can do this on www.justgiving.com/Larry-Grady2, where you may also leave a condolence message.
