Position: Embedded Software Engineer
Reports to: Vice President, Science and Research
Department: 4100
Status: Full-time, exempt
Job Description Summary
The Embedded Software Engineer of Sotera Wireless is a key resource to
develop, write, and document software applications to run novel vital sign
algorithms on the company???s patient worn medical device. As the primary
embedded programmer for the research team, the embedded engineer will be
required to collaborate with senior scientists, the embedded software team,
and the systems software team to develop and integrate innovative
algorithms on the body worn embedded platform.
Job Requirements
The position of Embedded Software Engineer of Sotera Wireless, Inc. is a
mid-level position within the company and requires a full-time commitment
(40+ per week). The qualified person must have experience in a related
field and an educational background supportive of the job qualifications
and responsibilities outline in this document.
Job Qualifications & Responsibilities
Knowledge/education of various computer programming languages such
as C, C++, C#, Java.
Knowledge/education on Operating Systems, I/O drivers, Data
Structures, Data Communications protocols.
Knowledge/education on creating engineering documentation, design
specification, code reviews.
Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to perform
assignments with a minimal amount of direction and supervision.
Other duties as required.
Preferred educational background:
Bachelor Degree required
Preferred experiential background:
Summer internship in an electronic/software development environment
