Lansing Roots Farm
Summer CSA 2014

What could be better than a weekly box full ofhealthy and delicious farm fresh vegetables for you and your family?

  1. Knowing WHO and WHERE your food comes from.
CSA members directly support local farmers and stimulate the local economy.
  1. Becoming a more engaged consumer.
Weekly conversation and e-newsletters provide cooking and storage tips, nutritional information, recipes, farmer spotlights, and farm news.

  1. Receiving higher quality produce at a better than retail cost.
Get more for your dollar and for your soul with nourishing food that also pleases the taste buds.

  1. Being part of a growing community.
The Lansing Roots CSA strives to encourage social connection and culture with potlucks and farm events.

  1. Promoting sustainability.
CSAs reduce shipment, packaging and transportation of fresh foods.

  1. Supporting the Greater Lansing Food Bank and its farm, Lansing Roots.
Proceeds directly benefit our non-profit organization, low-income Greater Lansing Area families, and beginning and refugee farmers.

THE LANSING ROOTS SUMMER CSA
CSA, or Community Supported Agriculture, is a direct partnership between farmers and food lovers in the form of a weekly vegetable subscription. Subscribers of our CSA are true members of the farm who fill their kitchen each week with 10-13 different produce items of unbeatable quality.

Being a member of the Lansing Roots CSA has several advantages that extend way beyond the freshness, tastiness and healthiness of the produce. By becoming a member you will know also know where and who your food comes from and connect the farm through weekly e-newsletters and farm events.

The Lansing Roots Summer CSA provides 20 consecutive weeks of farm fresh produce. Each week’s share will feed a family of four or two ambitiousvegetarians. A swap box will be available at each pick up where you can trade in what you don’t like and grab what you do!

PRICING & PAYMENTS
Members receive incredible value for the cost of the share in terms of quality and quantity, including better than retail pricing!

Payments in full are accepted and greatly appreciated, however, payment plans are also offered.

Low-Income Option: EBT/SNAP Card payments and Double Up Food Bucks tokens will also be accepted, if utilizing the Double Up Food Bucks tokens, weekly payments would be reduced by half! There is an EBT machine at the Lansing City Market (where the distributions will take place), so weekly transactions can happen right then and there.

Please contact us to find out the best payment option for you and your family.

DISTRIBUTIONS & PICK UP LOCATIONS
Distributions will occur each Wednesday at the Lansing City Market from 3:00-5:30 from June 25th through November 5th.

The Lansing Roots CSA is also partnering with workplaces and in the Greater Lansing Area for convenient pick up locations. Please contact us to find out where the best place is for you to pick up your share!
