Announcing customized request forms for telecommunication services

Effective May 5 to better serve customers, the Infrastructure Planning and Facilities Telecommunication Systems department will launch customized request forms for its services. The online forms ask for the specific information a customer must provide to fulfill the product or service request. The reduced need for additional follow-up and processing time means IPF can complete the requests more quickly.

The types of service requests that Telecommunication Systems handles are cable television, consultation and analysis, telephone, two-way radio, voicemail and changes to monthly recurring billing in addition to others.

There are two easy ways to use the new system.

  * Those that do not already have a service in mind can browse the service guide<http://ipf.msu.edu/services/service-guide.html> to read the descriptions of all that IPF offers. Select "Telecommunication" from the drop-down menu and select a page from the list to learn details about that service or product. From there, the customers can choose the exact request they need in the right-hand sidebar, and the link will take them directly to the correct form.
  * Those that already know which service they need can click the green "Request Service" button on the IPF home page<http://ipf.msu.edu/index.html>, log in, expand the "Telecom" link in the menu, expand the sub-categories, select the needed service and click "Begin."

When filling out these forms, drop-down menus, hover instructions and hyperlinks will assist in answering the questions.

For questions or comments, please call IPF Telecommunication Systems at 517-353-5515 or e-mail [log in to unmask]<maitlo:[log in to unmask]>.
