Application Deadline: May 15, 2014
The Academy of International Business is organizing a Mid-Career Consortium that will be held on Monday, June 23, 2014 from 1:30-3:30 pm. This Consortium features a panel of distinguished faculty and will provide a unique opportunity to network and discuss professional challenges, problems, and opportunities facing faculty advancing into their "Associate and early Full Professor years." The most suitable participants for this Consortium are "mid-career" international business faculty (those with at least five years of academic experience up to recent full professors). Panelists will share views on topics ranging from charting the path to full professor, service to the school and profession, roles of editors, use of sabbaticals, leadership in professional organizations, changing institutions, executive education, conference organization, local versus global reputation building, administrative roles, working with doctoral students, and balancing mid-career demands. Informal presentations will be followed by Q&A and round table discussions.
