COLLOQUIUM - Dr. Yoshi Tomoyasu

Title:                      The Insect Wing: its Origin(s), Homology, and Diversification

Dr. Tomoyasu is broadly interested in using developmental biological approaches to address evolutionary questions using  both beetles and flies (http://www.units.miamioh.edu/tomoyasu/lab/home.html). His recent work (and what he will be talking about here at MSU) is on the origins of the insect wing (for more info see his recent PNAS paper). ).
