Dear AIB Members,

It is my pleasure to bring to your attention "Journal of East West Business" (WJEB), an academic quarterly published by Taylor and Francis.

WJEB is a peer-reviewed scholarly international journal dealing with contemporary and emerging aspects of business studies, strategies, development, and practice as they relate to the Russian Federation, the new republics of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Eastern/Central Europe, the emerging economies of Asia, Asia-Pacific and Africa and their business relationships with other countries of the world. WJEB is international in scope and treats business issues from comparative, cross-cultural, and cross-national perspectives. The journal advances theory, research, and practice in economics and business (in its wider sense encompassing both public and private sector, governmental, private non-profit and cooperative organizations, as well as profit-seeking ventures) and provides a forum for academic debate on a variety of topics which are relevant to the journal's central concerns, such as organizational and institutional change, public/private sector interactions, enterprise strategies and internationalization, environmental issues, development problems, regional development and inequalities, real convergence and quality of life.

Especially, but by no means exclusively, we are eager to receive works related to:

* privatization of state enterprises
* management training and development
* foreign direct investment
* entrepreneurship and small business development
* joint ventures and strategic alliances
* transformation to the free-market economy system
* enhancement of distribution
* management of technology transfer and reverse technology transfer
* export/import and trade development
* free trade and industrial growth
* international licensing/franchising
* capital financing and budgeting
* other emerging topics of critical concern to countries in this area.
