Dear all

I’m delighted to announce the publication of the tenth anniversary issue of critical perspectives on international business.  From the introductory paper: “Although mainstream IB journals have recognized the need to extend the scope of their coverage in light of the changing global environment and the evolution of the discipline and related fields of study, CPoIB remains the only journal in the field of IB that is clearly focused on considering critical perspectives on international business.”

Alcadipani and Faria (2014) argue: “The launch of CPoIB in 2005 could not have been more timely and relevant from a geo-historical perspective. Since then, the critical voices from different parts of the rest of the world … had a unique opportunity to be voiced. Academics who seemed not related to “international business” as it has been continuously (re)defined in the USA from a unilateral perspective, and seconded by the European Union, had a unique opportunity to reframe “international business”, to provide new meanings to the field, and imagine alternatives that were not conceivable before CPoIB. In other words, this journal has enlarged the community of international business far beyond the narrow and restrict epistemological and geographical constrains of the North.”
