[IB]
FIU CIBER is currently accepting applicants for our 18th Annual PDIB Mercosur 2014 Program.<http://ciber.fiu.edu/mercosur>[https://gallery.mailchimp.com/c8ebf81225a3f64e3a4fb7404/files/braziL_people_flag.jpg]
The 18th Annual Mercosur PDIB program will explore how Brazil, Argentina, and Chile are dealing with the global recession, especially as those economies whose growth relied mostly on commodity prices, will be forced to change policies as a way to entice business creation. Countries such as Argentina and Brazil have showed solid growth during the last two years predominantly due to a strong commodity market. As the trend shifts to business climate as the main driver of growth, these nations must focus on policy changes. Participants will explore how Brazil, Argentina, and Chile are dealing with the global economic crisis and how the change in the U.S. will affect bilateral relations and the regional trading block.

[Who Is This For]
This program is designed for business professionals and faculty members who wish to develop an international perspective and to observe Latin America first-hand. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with business executives from multinational and domestic companies, business professors and experts, including cultural visits to learn about the idiosyncrasy of each of these countries.

[Program Fee][Pictures]
The program fee is $4,500 USD per participant and includes hotel accommodations (single occupancy), all regional flights between countries, and ground transportation during the program, company visits, entry to cultural sites and attractions, and some meals.

The program fee does not include round-trip international airfare, transportation from the airport to the hotel, visas or passport fees, meals not covered in the program fee, and any other voluntary tour or excursions not covered in the program fee.

[Application Instructions]
Applicants must complete the online application available at http://ciber.fiu.edu/pdibmercosur.php and submit a copy of their passport, proof of health insurance, the release and assumption of risk form, a half page updated biography, and a copy of the international travel itinerary to the CIBER Office.
