Activities include original research and fieldwork, participating in the day-to-day activities of the project, and producing publications including monographs and journal articles. The postholder will contribute to the advancement of the centre¡¯s research by organising a range of activities including seminars, workshops, conferences and undertaking occasional teaching. This full-time post is funded for 24 months, to start in May 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter. Duties include: contributing to survey design; management of survey implementation in different countries; data cleaning and preliminary data analysis; participating in the day-to-day activities of the project; liaison with project partners in other countries in order to collect and enter relevant secondary data; documenting and resolving database problems; and other TMDC academic support and administrative tasks as required. The post holder will help to advance the Centre¡¯s research by contributing to the organization of a range of activities including seminars and conferences and will be responsible to the Director of the TMCD Centre, Professor Xiaolan Fu. This part-time post is funded for 22 hours per week (60% FTE, spread over four days a week minimum) for 18 months, to start in May 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter.
